connections with the LGTBQI+ communities as well as to identify effective ways to teach in safe environments. Only in this way, teachers and learners can avoid reinforcing heteronormality. Although there is a long way to go, more and more educational practitioners are moving away from constricted environments and are embarking on providing visibility of these communities in the curriculum.
