BIONOTES: Olivia Gerber holds a PhD in Media Accessibility. She has professional experience in translation, subtitling, empirical research with end users, and Quality Assurance (QA) testing. She currently works as a project manager for accessibility services at Motion Picture Solutions (London, UK) and collaborates as an inclusive researcher at Open Inclusion. She began to get actively involved in accessibility in 2015, when she embarked on a PhD thesis that looked at how to make subtitles more readable for different types of users.
