Barge (London, UK), I discuss the creative approach that concerns puppet shows aimed at young audiences as opposed to the more conventional approach applied to productions aimed at older children and adults. The creative approach is less textual and supported by the use of icons, symbols and images to identify speakers or convey music and sound effects. I also discuss the different stages involved in making a venue more accessible to D/Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences, including customer care and marketing. The feedback collected from the audiences attending the captioned performances is shared in this paper too.
